We are specifically looking for someone very proficient in writing, editing, and building out Active Directory Group Policy, in a brand-new OU. If they are only competent in SCCM and not fresh and a high performer in Active Directory Group Policy, they need not apply. We ask very technical questions in regard to Group Policy in the interviews.

Win11 Engineer
RESPONSIBILITES
Group Policy Updates - Build out a new greenfield group policy OU (organizational unit) for Windows
11. This will involve going through current WINlO OU Group Policies for the desktop environment and alleviating what is out of date, identifying what needs to be retained and moved over, while standardizing each policy for WINll management. This consultant will assist us with these group policies based on his or her skills and build out our WINll OU while ensuring compliancy according to OIT and TAX security requirements and CIS benchmarks.
Windows 11 Upgrade- Engineer automated in place upgrade for existing devices from WINl0 to WINll and build and test image for new build and reimage desktop/laptops. Image built must be inclusive of all current driver sets. Any incompatible driver sets will need coordinated to resolution. This image build will require the consultant to be well versed in scripting technologies within PowerShell.
SCCM Packaging-This contractor will utilize the latest packaging techniques and be able to manage task sequence and driver management. This will include updating any current applications that need to be updated as found to be compatible with WINll. Any applications found to be incompatible, coordinate and execute a plan for the users with incompatible apps.
UAT-This position will be accountable to working with our users on end user testing and computability of our applications being moved into WIN11 environment. This will include deployment of test devices as well as executing UAT processes for validation and sign off.
SCCM and lntune knowledge -We will leverage modern desktop management including SCCM and lntune knowledge to enhance deployment and management of our end user devices including desktops, laptops, and phones.
REQUIREMENTS
Has led the technical SCCM, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Scripting components of 2+ implementations of Windows including Win10 and preferably Win11 for over 5000 devices.
5+ years of experience building and testing group policy environments including building out the GP environment for Windows upgrade and implementation.
Subject matter expertise in Microsoft Endpoint Manager with SCCM and/or Intune
Large scale enterprise Exchange Online and Hybrid deployments
Built out from base 2+ images for PXE, in place (onsite and remote) and net new deployments.
Experience in successfully planning, deploying, operating, and optimizing Modern Work solutions.
Ability to explain complex topics in ways that can be understood by technical and business decision makers.
3-5+ years of experience in UAT
3-5+ years of experience gathering customer impressions of products and services and integrates this feedback into decision making
3-5+ years creating deliverables to address common customer needs and share intellectual property with others
Bachelor s degree in IT related field or relative experience/certifications regarding Windows and Endpoint Engineering
5+ years of experience in application management and trouble shooting in SCCM and/or Intune
5+ years of application and package deployment and deployment failure remediation skills
5+ years of experience/knowledge on PowerShell scripting
5+ years in endpoint trouble shooting on the client side at the tier 3+ level
3+ years as a Windows or Endpoint Engineer
