The Senior Linux Administrator will manage and maintain customer computer network infrastructure (client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.). The ideal candidate will install, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware issues within the network, and ensure network security by enforcing policies, managing permissions, and monitoring activity. The Senior Linux Administrator will provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, working with a multi-disciplinary team of engineering professionals.
Required Qualifications: - Active TS/SCI w/ full scope polygraph
- BS in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Technology (or related technical field)
- 10+ Years of Experience. 5 years of additional experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux-based systems and experience troubleshooting IT systems
- Ability to perform software installations and upgrades to Windows operating systems and layered software packages.
- Ability to configure network components and implement operating system enhancements to improve overall system reliability and performance.
- Technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications: - MS or PhD in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Technology (or related technical field)
- Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes for complex technical development efforts.
- CompTIA Security+
- DoD 8570 compliance
**This position is contingent upon the successful completion of security processing and favorable acceptance onto the program by the Customer.** Clearance Requirement : This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of full scope polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include, but are not limited to:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Favorable Criminal History Check
- Education Verification
- Abuse/Illegal Drug Use
- Credit Check
- Subject Interview
