What You'll Do
As a Retirement Plan Consultant, you will be the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them through plan administration. Your responsibilities will include:
Plan Design, Implementation, and Setup
Compliance Testing
Calculation of Employer Contributions
Government Reporting (5500, 5310, 5330)
Trust Accounting and Reconciliation
Balance Forward Recordkeeping
Benefit Calculations
Plan Documentation Review
What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate has:
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred (experience may suffice).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Qualified Plan administration, including DC (defined contribution) and 401(k) (Daily Valuation and/or Balance Forward).
Certifications: ASPPA Designations (QPA, CPC, etc.) are a plus; opportunities for obtaining certifications on the job depending on experience and knowledge.
Skills:
Proficiency with Relius Administration/Recordkeeping
In-depth understanding of qualified retirement plan testing and alternative plan designs
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize with minimal supervision
