Job Description

The mission of Livius Prep is to empower every student to achieve their own academic success. To accomplish this, we hire people who are willing to invest in their students and themselves. Our employees are creative, innovative, unique, and most importantly can build genuine relationships with students.   

We are looking for knowledgeable and nurturing private school admissions counselors to guide students and families through applying to independent/private high schools/middle schools. While your academic qualification and previous counseling experience is important, we know every student is different and our counselors take pride in their ability to connect and empathize with the needs of each one. Put simply, we believe it is just as important to connect with students emotionally as it is academically. 

What we ask of you:  

• Ability to share your passion and inspire students to reach their full potential  

• Are creative, professional, and serious about providing purposeful academic opportunities for all  

• Maintain an accurate calendar and be available for a minimum of 5 hours per week after school as well as some weekends  

• Be available to work in-person in our Newton or Lexington offices as well as online  

• Provide families with a written overview summarizing the main objectives, lessons learned, and relevant action steps for their student after each session   

• Engage with the team, and communicate openly and regularly with those who support you  

Are you the right fit?  

• You are computer literate  

• You are reliable and punctual, and live within a reasonable commute of our office  

• You know how to connect with your students  

• You want to be a part of an exciting company as it grows  

• You have completed at least four years of college  

• You are eligible to work in the U.S. and can successfully complete a federal I-9 form and a national background check  

What you get from us:  

• Hourly rates starting at $40 per hour  

• Paid and continuous training  

• All materials needed  

• Ability to complete sessions online in addition to in-person appointments (snow days)
